I wound up withabout 20 each coturnix babies and Chukar babies. The first chukars came out clean, and just popped out, but these last few have been really sticky. I've had to help a couple that had gotten shrink-wrapped, and one has dried membrane stuck to half of its face and right side of its body... its poor little wing was glued down, and its right eye glued shut! I took a q-tip with a little warm water to soften it, and managed to get a little off, get its eye open and its wing unstuck, then put it back in the incubator with 3 other drying chicks. Wonder why they're so goopy at the end?

The difficult hatch chick is still alive. We named her Goliath. She's up walking, eating and drinking. Goliath's fluff did not dry fluffy. It is all stuck to her. Very stiff. She's in with Wilma now. Should I do anything to help her fluff out? Thanks.

12 are going to a neighbor, but if anyone wants some day-old chicks, give a holler!

These are babies from Chester, our EE roo, and all the hens. So it should be interesting to see what we get for babies.
