Who is still waiting for their first egg?

Me!! I'm pretty sure my barnyard mixes are between 17 and 18 weeks now.

I would love to see some eggs in the next week or so!

I got my first egg on the 4th of July this year! And now I get 4 eggs a day faithfully, hopefully more of my older girls will follow them.

Hope everyone gets their's soon!

Also still waiting for our first egg. We have 24 BR pullets that will be 20 weeks old this coming Sunday and 4 young Roos the
same age. They are 'doing it' and making all kinds of odd calls and checking out the nesting boxes and many of the pullets
have red earlobes and combs but not the first hint of an egg yet. Are BRs early to begin laying or will it be more like 24 weeks
before our BRs will be starting to lay?

Oo, Oo, Me, Me!!! My RIR girls are 20 weeks tomorrow. 3 of the six have very red combs and wattles, and the others are getting there, but no eggs yet. It will probably be soon because I just bought a couple of dozen eggs at the grocery this evening!

My sons have been asking every day when they're going to get eggs, but it's okay because they've been telling people that my chickens are cool!!!

I'm still waiting. Mine are 21 weeks today and still nothing. We are getting really anxious. In fact I just finished sewing an egg tote to carry the eggs from the coop to the kitchen. My husband jokes that we have duds

. What signs should I be looking for?

I have 8 RSL, so what are the "I'm getting ready to lay and egg behaviors?" do tell!

I know the feeling. I'm so excited I can hardly wait for my little girls to start laying eggs.

I'm hoping this August I will get my first egg.

They are only about 16 weeks old so they still have a little ways to go but I can't help but be excited.
