Your adorable coop and run looks too cramped for 8 hens. If you need to downsize, yes, get rid of the bullies.

Thanks for all the replies. My husband could build an extension to the coop if needed. And will try a roost inside. They do fight to get to the one in there now.

Mine squabbled to get on the TOP roost even though I had several choices. I built an extra roost, same height 2.5' separation, it's all good now at bedtime.

I don't know who lays which eggs. We get white tan and brown speckled eggs. We will get rid of three chickens and we already added two tree branches in the coop. Hoping our friend will take the bullies. She lives on a farm and has twenty chickens.

The RIR is the smallest and skinniest of all the birds. She is also the most picked on and has the most damage to her skin. She was very loud at first and quite annoying but I think the bullies have pecked her so much she stays more quiet.

White would come from the leghorns, the tan eggs from the buff orps and the brown/speckled from your darker red.

Pretty sure it's the white birds that have full feathers.
