Who is the oldest current living hen in your flock and how long did your oldest ever hen live?

Marilyn, a silky, is one and the same for me, she is 10.

Fat Bird is the eldest here now. She will be 9 on the 18th of this month.
She laid an egg today, just to show she's not completely over the hill.
She's been taking computer lessons for a while now so she can put the hens perspective here on BYC. She thinks a lot of nonsense gets written here.:p

The saddest old hen story I have, was Lydia, Australorp, She was 8 she was top hen for a long time, and she had another hen "Flappy" an australorp who was her hench hen. Lydia didn't have to peck anyone because if anyone disrespected her, Flappy would punish them. One day Flappy got old and died, and a New hampshire red was waiting in the wings, and ran up to Lydia grooming her, and telling her she will be the best hench hen ever, and aren't you glad it is me? Lydia didn't respond just allowed the grooming to happen. Then a few weeks later, Lydia was getting too old to be top hen anymore, The NH dropped Lydia like a hot potato, to suck up to whoever was going to be next, an poor Lydia was just standing there alone.
