Who is who? (Welsummer vs. Cream legbar)

Hi everyone,

We got 5 chicks last week and can't seem to tell our cream legbar and welsummer chicks apart. One is a chocolate brown and the other is closer to black but they look similar in size and other characteristics.

Welsummers usually have 'chipmunk' stripes on their back - I can't tell from the front.

Both are so similar you might not be able to tell until the breast feathers come in or the CL grows it's head gear.
How many do you have and where did you get them?

I’m following this. I got a chick out of the ornamental bin and I don’t know if she’s a Welsummer or Legbar. Let me know if you find out which is which because mine looks like the lighter one. she is also my sweetest chick.

Welsummer is the lighter one on the right.
Legbar on the left.

I second Welsummer on the right, more reddish on the head. Legbar on the left. I just had these two chicks from my last batch that left the brooder box.
