Who is with me?

Okay, after I quit worrying about the humidity (just started keeping the containers full) and as WWD stated turned eggs regardless, since it seems all of mine want to hatch early and I never realize it until they are pipped (like now, hatching on the 6th and 7th when due on the 9th).

Here is what I have accumulated in the past few weeks.
Picture over load, so click on picture to see full size.

Incubator #1

Incubator #2 that I purchased just for eggs due to hatch.

Eggs due on the 9th as you see they are already hatching.

These are the banties and newborn

These are the full sized chicks or a week old chicks

This is were they move to when they are 2 to 3 weeks old.
This is an area inside my barn. You cannot see them all, but between Pheasants, ducks and chicks there are about 30 or 40 birds in here.

This is what has accumulated since I quit worrying about humidity.

My Blue Jersey Giant

My Splash Andalusian

Some more chicks

Female Pheasant

My friend said this is a male, by the fluff on its head

Then after they get all their body feathers they move to here.

Here are my other barn guest, I no longer have their Mom here due to her breaking her leg, but at least the resue took her and is trying to find her a home. She would not have survived in the barn with an amputated leg.

You are right, CB, that would have worked and I can't believe that I missed it. I was looking for one that showed a person in a straight-jacket with chickies popping out of their ears! I can't believe they don't have one; it would have fit this situation perfectly!! lol

I have just ordered another batch of eggs. I have mixed emotions about it. One part of me is excited about trying it again, but the other part of me just wants the chicks that I lost back...

I guess that, as long as I learned from my mistake, then all is not lost...

Those chicks are adorable! That is quite the accumulation; you are just spreading your 600 out over time, huh? lol

Not really, 600, my husband would do this

.

I have 50 sold as soon as they all hatch and then the babies I keep this year will be my layers for next year and the adults (from last year) will go to auction. Kind of a keep egg production cycle.

That's a great way to keep things moving and you always get to have babies running around! Good for you!!

lol That's cute. My husband has just started to warn people that where we live is like "Wild Kingdom."

Since I just added four baby goats, Laura is calling the place a Petting Zoo. I hope that means I get a Llama and a potbellied pig.

I'm not sure though. She keeps threatening to dynamite my new precious bator.

If she's talking about explosives, maybe you shouldn't bring up the Llama and the pig just yet. lol
