Who is with me?

Sizzles are what you get when you breed a frizzle back to a silkie - the results can be hilarious... and in some cases gorgeous.

Since they are attempting to make a breed - writing standards etc. They're calling them Sizzles because some are curly like a frizzle, some are smooth, some are a curled silkie they call frilkies. But they have the many toes, dark skin, bearded or non, and top knots.

I got four sizzles, three smooth, and a frilkie in my batch. Including a very nice sizzle cockeral in splash. A nice black, a nice blue and a mottling grey sizzle - still changing color on a day by day basis. A blue with a red head and wing bows - smooth(sc). A black smooth with angel wings and some white on her feet, and the blue frilkie who is still feathering in albeit sloooowwwwly.

Sizzles are fun but a tad complicated LOL.

Woohoo, the broodies have five or six hatched already!!! Yay!

Rub it in, I am at a loss as to when mine are going to hatch. I am thinking around the 28th. I keep watching the lake for babies, but none yet. I checked them a minute ago, still movement, so I just wait.

Walkswithdog, post pictures of your babies for me. They sound interesting and I have never seen one.

I've a couple that will lag behind this group too. Found them laid late.

I'll try to get some sizzle pics if the weather will behave.

I want to see pics too walkswithdog! They sound adorable!

Wilma (my hen that made her nest on the lawn mower) hatch 4 chickies yesterday. She's a black OEGB. Roo is Barred Rock Bantam. Her little chickes are grey/white/black. I so can't tell them apart!

stupid rain isn't stopping often enough for them to want to come out even when it stops raining! Grrr... and I have pens to build... sigh.

I have not been able to work on my coop due to the rain, so I do not feel left out in the rain alone now.
