They are soooooo mischievous ! Whenever a bag is left out, they go over and pull everything out of it, throw it all out in the yard and play with the bag. If I am cleaning my shade cloth and turn my back for a second.... they are using it as a blanket. If hubby leaves a dog food bag out, they jump on it and stand with wings out, pecking and pulling at the bag, then jump up and down on it... too funny. They seem to always be playing with something.... They tried to steal some lettuce from the baby swans but the little male swan was not sharing and ran the cranes off... hehe

And here they are being run off by the baby swans.........................

Why they all like to hang out in the sandy part of my yard, I don't know.....

They aren't really pets, as they are not imprinted on people. I can get a few feet from them and they do know me as the food person, LOL. I think they own me.

We have a pair of black swans at the local park. They eat out of your hand and make the coolest noises!

Would love to own some too, but Hubby is not of the same mindset as me. Maybe someday ..... Heehee. They look so happy and healthy! Are they difficult to care for and keep?

They are pretty easy so far. They eat a diet of chicken starter, game bird starter, dog chow or catfish chow, bird seed, greens, fruits etc.... they do need a lot of space, but since mine are pinioned they roam around the yard at will and go into a kennel at night. They are just starting to get their more adult colors coming in. Soon their heads will be black.

They are pretty neat.. where did you get yours from? And can I ask what price? I have seen pricing so variable on them..
