my sister brought the class pet (hamster) home over the Christmas holiday break and it got wet tail and died.

the class called her 'hamster killer' and she cried for days. every time i hear of a little sick hamster, i recall that. children love little animals and it breaks their hearts.

No wet tail, I called his pre-k teacher from last year and she said he had to be over a few years old, so I'm hoping it was old age. Life goes on. Thanks.

The book that I read about Hampters said that they live a 1000 days. if they are rolled up in a ball and you can't get them to move, there days are short.
