My Western Rustic hen is/started laying with the same comb size of the RIR.Wyandotte looks closest to laying, Barred Rock is a close second. The RIR needs another few weeks to mature.
BYCforLife, how did your Western Rustic turn out as a layer? I have some WR chicks and I'm thinking of keeping a few hens for eggs.
