I think my Wy's started laying a week later...not by much though.

Wyandotte looks closest to laying, Barred Rock is a close second. The RIR needs another few weeks to mature.

My Western Rustic hen is/started laying with the same comb size of the RIR.

BYCforLife, how did your Western Rustic turn out as a layer? I have some WR chicks and I'm thinking of keeping a few hens for eggs. I've been told the eggs are smaller and fewer than layer breeds, but I don't know by how much.
