Who like chickens? MY parent are against them!!!

I replied to your other post as well, but I will also reply to this one as well. In particular something that you mentioned struck me. You mentioned that your parents think its dumb to keep chickens for pets that they are for meat. Something that you can propose to them is that they are serving your family with a purpose aside from just meat. Their eggs. Their eggs are 10x healthier than those that you would buy from a grocery store, and they are packed with amazing flavor, golden yolks, and plenty of protein. Also heres something to consider, and I will be honest, it isn't for everyone. But something that you and your parents can consider is that when your chickens reach that age when they retire from being productive egg layers, you can slaughter them for meat. Now of course no one necessarily wants to eat their pets, but it is something to consider, and making that kind of offer to your parents may be a way to let them consider letting you keep chickens again. At least if that were to be the future case you would know that you raised them well and provided them with a humane and happy life.

i know right they are like the best type of pet but their main defense is it will ruin my school work id be to busy doing that then studing.i dont even play games much or some time at all.
IF ANYONE GOES TO SCHOOL AND HAS CHICKENS PLZ COMENT ON HOW THEY HELP YOU IN SCHOOL AND HOW THEY BENEFIT YOU

I actually do online school and my grades are great (even though I'm two grades ahead of where I should be). If anything, my chickens encourage me to get good grades. I mentioned earlier that I LOVE animals. Because of that, I wanted to get a job that involved animals, which ended up being a vet. That is the reason I do so good. Because vet schools are REALLY hard to get into (even harder than a doctors school) because there are not very many of them. So I know my grades have to be really good in order to get into a vet school. My animals are what made me want to be a vet. So in a way they did help.

that is great to hear thankyou i will try to praswade them but this morning they yelled at me for writing this thread and said it adnormal and stupid and that if i wanted chickens i should go to my country and live like the poor who have animals and seem fine.
in my mind i sometimes think that it a great idea but i know it wont work i f i say yes if anyone can post something that explains and perswades plz commet

Just wanted to mention that I got chicken because I wanted too, not because I was poor. I always have a way of earning money that doesn't even involve my chickens, my chickens is just a way of earning extra money. I really don't get why some people think chickens are that bad :/

There are tons of people who like chickens, this website happens to have over 80,000 members. I'll have to think for a little bit about some more reasons why chickens are great. I really hope you end up getting some more!

It may help to mention how much more healthy it is to eat fresh chicken eggs rather than store bought. When you take an egg from a farm chicken, and an egg from a factory battery hen, there are several differences

1. The yolk from a battery hen is much lighter than that from a farm hen. This is because the egg from the battery hen is filled with chemicals and hormones. Whereas the other is filled with nutrients and MUCH yummier than a store bought.

2. The shells from a farm chicken are way thicker. The extra nutrient goes into the shell. So the thicker the shell, the healthier the chicken is.

3. Compare these two pics
