Who likes Meyer hachery.

I love Meyer Hatchery! What everyone has said before me is true. They have wonderful customer service, healthy chicks, great store and products that you actually need not all the fancy money items. I have ordered 2x from them 6 diffrent breeds total and each time has been the same superior customer service and friendly employees in the store. We even added extra's from the over hatch bin and the girls took the time to identify each chick for me. I wish I would have known about Meyer Hatchery before I placed my first chick order years ago, that was a disaster! Now I will only go to them because every one of their chicks has been healthy and great producers all 6 breeds.

I ordered from Meyer last September- I got the 200 chick surplus (males) and all but 3 were DOA. It was quite horrifying to open the box and see this :(.. One later died and the last two survived, they were barred rock roos' that grew to be quite friendly, though slightly undersized. Meyer did refund us the whole amount, the customer service is very good. I decided to try a different hatchery since I'd ordered numerous times from Ideal and just wasn't happy with the quality. I do live in California so I try to order closer- I may give Meyer another try someday, but perhaps a smaller order.

I just ordered 34 chicks from Myers Hatchery and all 34 arrived alive, though six died within 48 hours. The rest are now 2 weeks old and are doing quite well. Their customer service is AWSOME!! I have six more replacements due in next Wednesday!! They required no proof of death and gave me the option to replace, have a credit with them, or a full refund.

I love Meyer Hatchery! I ordered 20 chicks- 10 BAs, 5 Golden Buffs, 2 Blue Andalusians, 1 Partridge Cochin, and 1 Buttercup. I did have a few problems though. One is that 2 of the chicks died (which happens and is fine), one of the golden buffs was a rooster (not sure how you could mess that up since they are color sexable, an I could tell it was a rooster the second I put him in the brooder.) , and the buttercup had an odd back toe that made it hard for her to walk. Its all fine though because I'm getting my 60 layers and 50 broilers from them next year!
