Hi, i like to knit. Anyone else???? We could talk patterns or something....

Well, i will be here for a while, please post if you're interested.

Currently working on:

-Ribbed scarf

-Slipper socks

I have waaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much yarn in my house, but i keep buying more!!! My sister (she likes to knit also) and I call our secret knitting stashes our YARN MOUNTAINS!!!

I would be glad to teach anyone to knit via this forum. I would also loooove to talk, or if you are having trouble.

I knit. Right now I am working on a couple afghans. I once knit a shawl for my aunt and unfortunately I lost the pattern. It was triangular and started at the point with and then increased row by row as you went up. I would like to find that pattern or something similar. It was lacy and had a lot of yarnovers and psso's. I have no idea where to even start to look. I got it out of the newspaper many years ago.

I knit in the winter when the nights are dark early and I can't get outside. I have a lot of spare yarn from when my girls were small and I now knit for charity. I am making baby cardigans and blankets for newborn babies in South Africa. The charity is The Baby Pack Project http://www.freewebs.com/babypackproject/ and provides a pack for under privileged mothers so they don't have to wrap their babies in newspaper. I started last winter and have sent about 4 parcels so far. I find it really rewarding. Of course there are lots of other charities if you have no one to knit for at home. My girls are teenagers and would not be seen dead in a knitted garment!!

I just started and all I make is scarves. 4 total now. but it's a start.
