we do smores over the gas stove all of the time.

they catch on fire easily so we hold them up higher away from the flame.
we have tried the strawberry flavored and chocolate flavored marshmallows and they are very tasty. like neopolitan.

The first time I ever ate one was a couple years ago at a family cookout. My nieces and nephews adore them. I thought they were a little too sweet. This could be due to the fact I had never had one, nor heard of them as a child (which astounds my husband yet I don't hear him begging for one after I BBQ chicken).

I do like chocolate though and the toasted marshmallow as well as the occasional graham cracker. Just not all together.
