Who needs Facebook.

On facebook I have 8 friends (2 of which I don't know) and 2 followers (1 of which I don't know.) Yet I use FB almost daily. Craigslist (around here at least) is based on a reasonable sized city. I am 50 miles from one and 70 miles from a 2nd. And it appears that only people within 15 miles of these cities use CL. Small town/rural folk like me use FB marketplace. And I can limit my searches to people within "x" miles from me. But posting my life stuff? Nah! I'm too boring for that.
 
I got rid of my Facebook almost a year ago after I realized it's way too fake for me. I was seeing fake reality in every picture posted... I like how BYC is real and blunt at times. You see people's losses, gains, and you learn all at the same time. The opinions of others on BYC are amazing whether you agree with them or not, but you learn no matter what. There hasn't been a day where I haven't learned something new.

I agree. It's worse with Instagram though, IMO. I think Instagram is a breeding ground for narcissism.
