I've seen this question asked many times but never do very many people answer. I haven't found what I am looking for besides that the mother passes on an almost exact copy of her comb to her offspring. Other than that, I have found nothing. Could you guys go a little more in depth? I am breeding toward ABA standards and I am also showing Table Top, so if you guys could go a little deeper into genetics that would be great. Not too deep though, then it gets confusing ;)

Thank you,
LilJoe

Its not a matter of who passes on what like you're thinking.
A hen will not necessarily pass on her comb type to her offspring.
Putting sex link genes aside neither the male or the female passes on any certain traits to their offspring. They pass genes on to their offspring and depending on which genes the offspring get will determine what traits they show.
Some genes are recessive, some are dominate and some are neither. Some are dominate to some genes and recessive to others.
It all depends on the genes the parents have, which genes they pass on, which genes the offspring receive and how the combination of those genes interact with each other.
