I have a twelve girls. One, Lily, is two years old. Six are three years old. Five were hatched on Mother’s Day of this year. The pullets are all Brahmas. The older girls are various breeds. Three girls lay cream colored eggs, one lays blue eggs, and the other three hens lay brown eggs (one with spots). The egg on the poop deck this morning is brown, small, no spots, and was nowhere near where my brown egg layers were sleeping. It was, however, directly underneath one of the Brahma pullets! Could it be? No one is squatting for me yet, but Deuce, one of the Brahma pullets, slept directly over top of where the egg landed…

I suspect my blue Cochin was sleepwalking this morning and laid that egg, but it’s sure fun to consider the possibilities! The pic is of Deucey-Boo. She’s a big girl for her age and has been checking out the nest boxes lately, so…. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Definitely could be your Brahma girl. If you can, a camera will reveal it all!
