I caught this young one using peanut butter. You guys & gals that relocate will be proud of me. I let him go. The reason for letting him go was I've never seen a foxs here at 7L so I'd have to say their a rare breed.

Sorry, but I generally relocate them to a different spiritual realm. I see no more sense in relocating a predator that's endangering my flock than I do relocating a serial killer. He'll just endanger someone else's flock.

Well, he's now one well educated grey fox who will never be box trapped again. Good luck when he finds his way home.

OP, once a wild animal loses his fear of man made structures (and man, himself) he will continue to invade our space. That means where ever you took that fox he will seek out food closer to man and his domestic animals than he has before. He did it once, he will do it again. I don't like to kill animals, except for food, myself. However wild animals carry a lot of diseases, as well as their preditory threat to livestock, pets and other small cute things. I"m not sure you did anyone, yourself included, a favor by relocating such a fearless creature. Like the other posters, I hope you don't regret it in the future.

I have never relocated a wild animal ever. I merely did it because like I said I've never seen one here at 7L so I thought I'd give him a chance. I've been trapping my whole life & I'm 54 now so letting one animal go is not the end of the world. Most of the time I get on here & everybody gripes at me cause I killed the varmet. This past month I've trapped 2 coons & 3 opposums & took them as you say to different realm. I'm by far no tree hugger trust me but I do respect nature at the same time.

Good for you 7L! You can't remove all the predators so best to maximize your fortification. I've rarely seen anything prettier than the red fox I saw eyeing up my chickens last fall, just before we went and bought wire and a fence charger.
