Here's hoping he behaves for you!

I show boxers in AKC conformation! Also do some obedience and agility. I am currently showing a few promising puppies.

One of which is "Fabio," Sergio's As the World Turns, who is a son of my AKC Champion English import Harley (Ch Faerdorn Dust Buster, CGC). Fabio just won Best Jr and Grand Sweepstakes winner at the Eastern Boxer Club Specialty that was held in Ludwigs Corner, PA this weekend. This was only his 4th time ever in the ring, and he already has 2 reserve's and now the grand sweeps win! He's gonna be a fun one I think

I show German Shorthaired Pointers as well as hunt with them. I'm hoping that when I breed my girl this summer that there will be a show prospect for me to keep. My boy Logan won the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Canada National Specialty show last year and was #2 GSP in Canada for 2010. While showing is lots of fun nothing beats watching them do what they were bred to do, hunt.

They are the main reason I raise Coturnix with the added bonus of having meat birds as well as training aids.

I compete at beagle field trials and have been doing so for 52 + years. Presently I have 11 field champions and 5 others well on their way to that title in my yard. The Princess has titled a golden CDX in both AKC and UKC. Our present golden is obedience trained, but she's like a willfull teenage daughter and is not yet ready for competition. As you might well imagine the dogs have pretty well sculpted the type of life that we live.

It's mind boggling to even consider the hours that I have devoted and still devote to this sport.

Oh very cool! My neighbor hunts his Beagle with small rabbits and stuff like that, I do have to agree with you that the idea of watching them go out and actually doing what they were meant to do sounds like an awesome idea

Best of luck to you!

Haha nice! Good for you!
Oh trust me I can imagine, even with show dogs, or pets for that matter, when you invest in a sport or dog hobby it can get pretty time consuming and expensive.

you should have seen Singe at his first conformation class... He did great, including the judge's exam. Until she got to his testicles, anyway. He jumped like 4 feet in the hair and just had this stunned "OMG why did you touch me there??" look on his face
