who sucks eggs?

I've been suspicious of something stealing eggs, but no proof. Last night I found an egg with a hole in the end and it had been sucked out. It's way too cold for snakes - in the teens here. What could it be?

when I was a boy we had a coon for a pet, had him about 10 years. I would give him a raw egg...he would roll it around, then lay on his back and flip the egg around and around using his paws ( I learned he was figuring out where to bite it). I don't remeber if it was the small or big end of the egg but he would carefuly bite a small hole in it, a little smaller then the size of a pencil. he would then suck out all the white, then use his toungue and work the yolk out. It was very comical and I thought the hollow egg was cool.

Could a coon be your perp?

My Dad thought he did it so he wouldn't get dirty, Charlie (the coon) was a definate clean freak

Okay, this has just gone from bad to absolutely ugly! My daughter was just looking at this egg with the hole in the end of it and the egg started wiggling!!! She screamed and I came running. I smashed it and probably 50 nasty looking worms- 1" long, hard looking like - were crawling around inside. I guess whatever it was was frozen before and thawed out in the house. HELP!!! I've never seen anything so ugly. I may never eat another egg again.
