ooooooooooo!!!! You guys! Your Muscovies are so pretty...I have four...three black and white and a blue and white...I have eleven eggs in the 'bator and Esme is sitting on thirteen eggs...the Muscovies have become my favs. This is the first year I have ever had any of them and they have wormed their way into my heart big time...they are different from the others...I can't wait to see what colors I end up with this time...I don't know the colors behind the adults as they were adults when I got them...their first hatch produced, chocolate and white, blue and white, chocolate with white lacing, white with black tail feathers...
my first adults, Carlisle, Alice and Rose...Rose was taken by a predator...she is the dark one with the white head
sad to update--I must not include the silver and blue pied among my muscovy hens. A few minutes ago, the guinea started chasing them and they quacked!!! Today is the first time I have heard them (only when being chased), and they have muscovy features, so I am assuming that means that they are some kind of a cross and therefore hybrid. So sad ... so so sad ... oh well, guess they'll produce our eating eggs then ...
I specifically asked the seller if they were pure muscovy and he said yes ... glad I didn't buy any more than the two because he had a pile of them.
