I don't see thick legs on your bird, no comb. I don't know that mine ever had feathers like those in your closeup shot of her tail though.

I wouldn't sweat the dual color just yet. Buuuuttt, hdowden is FAR more experienced than I.

I'm just hoping the OP's bird is having a funny "teenager" stage with odd tail feathers. My Partridge Chanteclers went from having nice tails to having "bunny" tails. One then got back a decent looking set of tail feathers after her last "kid stage" moult, the other has pretty short tail feathers. But she is the one them that is laying so I'm not complaining. I have egg chickens not breeding chickens, no concern with passing on bad tail genes.
