I will place my vote on cockerel. Your chicken almost reminds me of a Bielefelder, except that breed does not have feathered legs. Though, he does look like he is the Crele color. Where did you get your bird from?

If you send pictures of each chick, we can possibly figure out their breeds. You can also ask your friend's neighbor which breeds they have.
