Who wants to ramble or even vent!

Oh wow, I have a horse, my boy is an ex racehorse, he’s 15.3 and absolutely gorgeous, a real gentleman 😊 I have never been a horsey person, but I spent a while looking after him, then his owners at the time said they were going to get the hunt in to have him put to sleep 😳 there was absolutely nothing wrong with him so I ended up becoming his new mum and we’ve never looked back.
Thats so neat! Goo job on saving him, I bet your really enjoying having him around. They really do bring a nice presence to the property. ☺️
My Misty is a 14.something QH who we "rescued" from a horse trader. She was in rough shape when we got her. Skinny, had ringworm, and he was keeping her in the back a of a dark barn all by herself. When he lunged her for us he said, "she's a good little mare, and listening really well after being off hay for 3 days". Not sure what kind of show he was running, but I'm glad I got her out. We also have Lucy, she's a 15 hand Qh. Black, she's beautiful. Misty is a Grulla, I love that color. 😁

Sounds like your Misty had a lucky escape!! Thank god you found her and took her on 😊 Horses are herd animals and any horse trader knows that, so it sounds like he was a wrong’un, especially with her condition, it makes me mad. Grulla’s are beautiful, am I right in saying they have the Dunn gene? I also love the pure Dunn’s, my hubby had a gun metal grey, Silver, who was 17.1 they truly do bring a lovely calm presence, I originally come from Liverpool, a city in England, hair extensions, false nails and eyelashes, was the norm for me, now I find myself up to my eyes in horse, chicken and dog poo, wellies, bobble hats! 🤦‍♀️🤣 and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I'm so happy to have her, and she got a happy ending, and so did I. Makes me mad to, luckily he only has is horses for about a month, rushes the training etc. Its stressful for them, but they don't have to spend long there, he gets them out as quick as possible. And, had it not been for him, she would still be in Montana never being ridden or payed attention to, so salty, you can only be so mad. :hmm
I do believe they have the dun gene. A fried of ours has a Norwegian Fyord who is a dun, they are so beautiful!
Wow! Thats quite the change! So neat that someone can go from that to an animal keeper, and you got the poop idea right haha. ;) I couldn't imagine not being covered in animal filth, I think I would feel out of place being clean all the time. I bet any other "livestock" keeper would say the same.

That is so kind of you! Poor thing! I need to remember that this is nature, and in order to survive, they have to eat. It is not personal if they take one of my hens, that’s on me. Your video earlier, I asked if they were coyotes simply because I was lead to believe foxes are solo, they stay on their own, is this true or could I have more than one fox?
They are mostly solo but I have seen more than one together. A female I had been seeing had some kits and the kits are now hunting on their own. I have see them together but mostly alone. Coyotes are the same some are solo and some run in packs. They will keep lurking looking for an opportunity when you least expect them. Lessons learned the hard way. Good luck...
