Hello im doing a project for one of my teachers, and the people i got were the Romanov's............i have no ideal who they are?

I believe they were the last ruling Czars of Russia. They were all killed during the Russian Revolution in 1917.

Imp

Imp is correct and I suggest you google them, as you will incredibly amazed at who they were and mystery that still surrounds Anastasia.

I did a whole project on them for History this year. Imp is correct, the Romanovs ruled Russia. Nicholas II was the Czar of Russia, and the family was executed for his bad leadership during the war with Korea, I think. They couldn't find Anastasia's body (along with her brother Alexei's), so there was a big mystery, like Debi said. They found the bodies a couple months back, though.

Actually they found her body--she's dead. It was initially believed that she and her brother Alexei (?) might have survived because their bodies were not found at first, but they are now confirmed to be dead.

The Russian Revolution of 1917--Overbearing and incompetent Czar Nicholas II dismisses the Russian Parliament and the people revolt. When the army refuses to fire on a rebel crowd, Nicholas realized his weakness and abdicates the throne. Provisional Menshevik government is established; they are weak and incompetent. When they decide to continue the war against Germany, the people threaten to overthrow this govn't as well. Germans smuggle Vladimir Ulianovich Lenin into Russia. He and Leon Trostky stage a military coup and establish the USSR.

Anastasia actually died when the rest of the family did. The lady claiming to be Anastasia and ruled for all those years was not. This of course, was discovered later.

Yes, I wouldn't write a paper on what we were saying. It would be best if you found a book or a reliable, true article for this. We probably won't be much help, just giving you a basic idea of who they were.
