Who will lay first?

If laying is imminent, the between pelvic bone test is the one to use.
For propensity to be a productive bird, the pelvic to keel space is the check. However, for the latter to mean anything, they must be all the same breed and same age.

They're all the same age but that's about where it stops other then the pairs

Graphic pictures! Here's echo and Heidi's vents do either look close that way? Both have accepted mating if that means anything

Most vents are ready! Now it's the waiting game I'm leaning towards Delta being first! She's began squating randomly as if she's going to lay all but the Ameruacanas and Easter egger are accepting matings and Delta and Heidis Combs are bright red while some of the others are still pink

Squatting usually means they are ready to be mated...eggs could still be a couple weeks off.
Did you know that they actually stand up when the egg emerges?

It's a different kind of squatting then maiting I just didn't know what to call it she's still standing and just lowers her tail a freezes it looks almost exactly like she's trying to lay but I don't feel an egg. She also has the more typical hen shape then the other pullets

She may be trying to move a soft shell egg.

I've never had a no she'll egg :0 she's not doing it today but still no new eggs.

First egg today! From Echo!! An olive egg the pictures lighten it up so much but it's really almost grey green in person

Notoriously hard to get the true color of eggs...each camera and screen translate it differently.
