My goose has been setting a nest and it was close to hatching time, but something got into the nest last nite. It ate all of the yolks of what had appeared to be rotten or infertile eggs (we had candled them earlier in the evening) but cracked the eggs and didn't eat the developed embryos. Does this sound like the MO of a common suspect? My goose was freaked out last nite and chose NOT to go back to her nest in the barn, so she had to know something was going on. Thanks for any input you can provide.
