We have a pine tree that has a wire sticking out of it. I'm thinking when it was planted it was staked down and the wire never removed so it grew around the wire.

I have had good intentions to cut the wire so we don't get snagged on it but that never happened turns out it has become very useful. On windy days the door to the run blows shut locking my girls out. So I have been using the wire to keep the door open

Perfect now we don't have to come up with a different solution to keeping the run door open for them
Haha who would have thought
:clap

Could be many reasons that wire is there.
Pretty common actually t find wire or nails in a tree,
ask anyone who cuts wood for burning or timber,
they call them 'Chain Killers'.

Clever use for the one you've got.

Metal objects can be more than 'chain killers'. I had a friend (now deceased) who had a saw kick out of his hands and come down across his forearm making a serious cut. He was a BIG guy. If this had happened to me
