Whoa! Check out my new Silkie chick! *pic heavy*

This little beaut hatched this morning. Daddy was a black Silkie and mom is a white Silkie. The first egg that hatched yesterday is a gorgeous solid black. But this new one? I'm stumped!

Looks like a partridge, but it is probably to early to say for sure on a baby chick.

You should take lots of pic of it when it gets older and older!!!! it will be fun to watch

It is mostly that silvery grey and you barely catch some brown hues but only if you hold him in the light right. And the brown is so light that you're not even sure you saw it in the first place. That's why I took pics. Now I've got to track down the BYC member that I originally got the parents from as eggs to find out what the parents have in their background genetics.
