Okay, somebody is pulling a fast one on me.

Today I got a large WHITE egg. Not tan, not pink, not blue, not terra cotta. WHITE.

Not bantam white. LARGE.

Take a look at the breeds in my sig lines.

I ain't got nuthin that lays large white eggs!

I do have young Wellie pullets and young Sussex pullets, both of which are just about ready to lay. At least one of em has been giving me some tan eggs in the last week or so. But WHITE???

Someobody's paint jets are laying down on the job!!

Leghorns lay white eggs.

I've got BANTAM leghorns. They lay ITTY BITTY white eggs. This is a LARGE white egg.

I'll take a pic later, so you can see the comparison!

Ohhhhhhhhhh Myyyyyyyyyy GAAAAAAAWWWWWDDDD.

You guys are absolutely right!!

I took pics of the eggs. The new white eggs (I found another one I didn't know about in my egg basket, there's two of the mystery eggs) are as large as the tan probably-Wellie pullet eggs.

I weighed them. 56 g.
I weighed the bantam leghorn eggs. 28 g.

Hmmm. 28 + 28 = 56 . Do we see a clue here?

I cracked open the mystery eggs. They're both double yokers!!

I cracked open a bantam leghorn egg to compare. The yolks are the same size.

One of those poor little bantam hens is laying these HUUUUUUGE (comparitively speaking) white eggs. Poor girl!!

I have pics of everything. Will post them in awhile!

Yah lurn sumthin new ever day!

Oh yeah? Very interesting!

Stay Tuned, I'm uploading the pics right now. I can't believe that poor little leghorn can still walk straight!

Here we go. If these came from one of the banty leghorns, they had to HURT!
