Every elastic I have checked is polyester....making it a HARD no!
could you make a replacement with cotton knit material? might not hold as strongly, but could still possibly work. (thinking cotton knit - like t-shirt kind. Don't know if you are able to get that 100% cotton these days?????)

So good to hear from you. You, Nancy Rose & Oliver doing ok? Me, I'll be glad when the holiday is over. Got a bunch of MRI's & Xrays scheduled end of the month for the neurosurgeon but it gets done all in one day👍.
Keep us updated lovely 😍
Meanwhile have a really great holiday. :love :hugs

Sorry this isn't a chicken post.

I'm hoping to have a little advice on a mobile phone.
I only just got back from a wonderful time with my relatives. But I'll be back in here tomorrow.

I have to find a phone that's not going to cause so many problems. And one with a customer service.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated

Good night lovely people.

I have a dog that desperately needs thousands of cuddles.

@Sylvester017

my neighbour fed Oliver whilst I was away. But he was waiting in my old cats kennel for me on my return. So he had a minced lamb with courgette and cat food dinner. And if course his vitamins and crushed flaxseed

Nancy stayed with my old school friend and was spoilt rotten. She's come into season again, so very sensitive.

Just checking out the fuzzy legs/feet on everyone - love them!

Meant to ask - will you be getting any splash pullets for your handsome boy? I wonder what colours you will get from those chestnut hens, and the light coloured one - gosh I can't wait to see the babies ❤️
From the red hens: splash is 2 copies of blue which affects black, so blue tailed red birds. Light one.... the golden tones should stay. Not sure what the light color is so how it gets affected will be a surprise.

Eventually, probably. However, have a new addition to the extended family arriving in June, several familial requests for soap, am working on about 3 knit/crochet projects for me (wintry wear) and the last thing MIL made for DH is an afghan that is now trying to fall apart, so I'm working on a new one for him so we can set that one aside (carefully)....after I see what I can do to repair it respectfully.

Lantern works so not adding to my to-do list with something that has to be heavily modified to be usable.

The semester is finally over. I finished with decent grades, and I’m glad to finally be out of those classes.
My school changes classes each semester, so you take half of your classes first semester and the other half second semester (four classes a day).
First semester I had English, Acting 1 (dad forced me to take it), Animal Science, and AP Gov and politics.
I ended English with a 91, acting with a 100, Animal Science with a 97, and AP Gov with an 81. All of my friends ended gov with 70’s, so I’m quite happy that I didn’t. My teacher was out the last two weeks because she was in the hospital, so that was helpful. She’s okay, thank goodness, but I could’ve gotten an A if she had been there to actually put in grades. I’m just glad she’s okay though.
Next semester I have Geometry (it’s honors and I’m screwed… I barely got a B in non honors algebra last year), Vet Science (when I take my end of pathway assessment at the end of the year, I can get vet tech certified), Wildlife Management, and Dual Enrollment/AP Biology 2.
I’m actually very excited for all these classes. I have friends in all of them, and in Wildlife management I’ll be able to spend time with my school chickens because the teacher is the one who helps me and my friend with the chickens, and the coop is right outside the classroom.
But for two weeks, I get a break from school and I don’t need to stress about grades.

Oh, and my friend and I put that persons barred rocks in a different coop. The girl lied to us, both of our ag teachers (the one who is helpful with the chickens and the one that we had problems with), and so the ag teacher that we had problems with told us to put the BR’s in with her chickens (the ones that killed my friends polish) and so we did… kinda. We put a tsc coop in the chicken pen and put the BR’s in there to get the chickens used to each other so that that BR’s don’t die.
The girl apparently told the problem ag teacher that she was going to make my friend and I do all of the work… why she told an ag teacher that? No clue. The girl isn’t very smart… the ag teacher failed her on the project that she had the chickens for.
Let me say, this girl asked what honey was made out of… and then when our chickens started fighting her barred rocks, said “oh, look, they’re playing!” No… no they aren’t. She also didn’t research AT ALL about chickens before she got them. Ugh, I hate people sometimes.

Anyways, here’s my tax. My favorite boy ever, Athens. He’s such a sweetie. He only attacks people if they don’t baby talk him. Like, I’ve told people that have watched our chickens when we go out of town to baby talk him, they think I’m joking, and then get attacked.
Although, Mom baby talks him and he attacks her on occasion. Maybe he just likes me, I dunno. He’s my favorite boy though.

Congrats on the grades and don’t give up on geometry - it is actually kinda cool and often very useful in life.
