Whole group of 12 week old chicks dying

Sulmet is what I used to save my little Dolly a few years ago and a couple others last year. I have never used any of the others. Since you have sulmet the Corrid is not needed. In fact you shouldn't use both. This is a one or the other situation.

The good thing is that Sulmet is fast acting. They should actually start showing some improvement within 24 hours.

Be aware that depending on how bad some got, it may have been to late and you may still lose some. I do hope it was in time for all.

Should I just treat with the Sulmet or should I treat with Corid to if I find it. Also what is the mix of Corid in a gallon of water?

The dosage for Corid is about 9 cc/ml in a gallon of water. That is the dosage that worked perfectly with my chicks, who were younger than yours, but I always have bad issues with cocci here-some say 4-5 cc for young chicks, but I went for the highest dosage due always having to re-treat when I used Sulmet. You only use the Corid for 5-7 days.
In doing research, I did find that Sulmet is not effective against one type of cocci, eimeria tenella, which is probably what is in my own soil.
Since they are dying, treat them with whatever you can get to first, I'd say.

Well good news so far. Most have perked back up and started eating. I lost 2 that were really bad and 2 others don't look to good. I have them under the heat lamp and they have been drinking for me so keep you fingers crossed. I am happy that I may only loose 5 out of all of them. Thanks again for all the advice and directions. I will try to post again in a few days on how they did.
