I think something might be on her throat ... Last night she was shaking her head like crazy. Throughout the night and today she keeps doing it. My little chicken is not eating nor drinking today . She also opens her beak like she wants to throw up but from my surfing , I understand they can't throw up ...
I tried a little oil and water but I just made a mess of things , ended up all over her head instead of down her throat .
I'm super worried .... Please help .
Well, here is some good news.... She just gobbled a grasshopper .... I took her outside for some fresh air. Like usual the.grass hoppers were all over, as I was trying to catch one , I turned around and she had one in the chase ...seconds later , she was eating it...hopefully this will help her... I will keep you guys posted....Ok that was difficult
.. lol ...
I didn't see anything , however there was a bunch of mucus, in her mouth. I'm sure this is her body trying to help get the
who knows maybe I did get more of the oil water mix down her throat than I thought.
Her crop feels empty her breath is fine . She seems hungry but when she gets to the water and food she just looks at it , nothing more .you can put a little chunk of frozen coconut oil in her beak. i hope she’s ok. how does her crop feel? Is it full and squishy? Is it full and hard? Is it empty? Can you smell her breath? Is it bad? View attachment 3955066

I certainly would, but I can't afford it .I've read the vet can dislodge the object , but there is nothing written about HOW they do it....or at least I didn't find it yet.is taking her to a vet an option for you?
