:weeI've loved this sweet little, mohawk-stylin' chick from the day she arrived! Today, at 26 weeks, after hopping up on my lap for a scritch behind the ear, she went into the egg box and produced her first, blue egg (the color in the photo doesn't do it justice!) So pretty! :love

Glad to have found your post and pics. My CCL started squatting today at only 20 weeks and her comb doesn't seem nearly as "mature" as my older girls' were when they started laying but I thought maybe with the crest she wouldn't develop more of a comb. Looks like she was just happy to see me.
