about the "rumor" regarding cholesterol - an egg is an egg. They all have cholesterol. The color of the shell is determined by the breed, but it does not change the levels of cholesterol in the egg. The size of the egg determines the amount of cholesterol in the egg.

I was so excited when I got my first egg last week and it was from my BA. I can't imagine how I will be when my EE start to lay!!!

Congrats to you! I just started getting blue eggs (Got my second one yesterday). The first one was laid in the mud created by the melting snow, like she didn't know it was going to happen! it was a little thin-shelled and tiny, but the second one looked much better. It's so very exciting! A year ago, no one could have told me I'd be so into raising chickens!
