Who's All Excited For Spring Like Me?

Hatching chicks (dozen in the bator now, hope to do another hatch after), reinforcing and maybe enlarging the run, adding an additional fenced in area, garden plans are already in full swing - lots of seeds saved up and really, really can't wait til it's time to get them growing. AAhhhhh, spring.

I'm hoping to build my coop, so my babies won't have to live in our shed...which my husband isn't too happy about. LOL

Hatching everything from soup to nuts.

Starting seeds in green house for gardens

Preparing for livestock.

Getting ready for Farmers Markets.

Oh s.... I only have 90 days before it all begins.

You know that spring is not far off when you start to recieve the seed and poultry catalogs in the mail.

Yahoo spring!! Bring on the warm, baby!! Plans here are to turn a shed into a coop, build a run, brood about 10 (probably more) chicks, plant strawberries, blueberries, landscape my front yard, AND watch my little man take his first steps!!!

LOOOOVE SPRING!!

I am very excited because by spring, my BCM, Ameracanas and Olive Eggers will all be laying, and I can't wait to see the colors of their eggs, and get into breeding, hatching, and selling hatching eggs and chicks. Though here in Texas we've had an extremely mild winter so it hasn't even really felt like winter at all.

Hubby doesn't know it but my plan is for him to build me a huge brooder and even more roosts for my gals.
