Thanks KIM!!

I'm starting to get nervous: The fair folk have not sent me a confirmation of my registration of my boys for the fair.

They better do it soon cause I have to make plans for these boys if they DON'T go to the fair...

I got the confirmation for my Mille Fleur D'Uccle boys!

But not for the silkie. Which is okay. DD was ambivalent about showing him anyway...

I hope they do well and win you a blue ribbon and also find a nice home to go to.

Did they say why the Silkie didn't have a confirmation? That's probably good if dd was having second thoughts about it.

Did you make your shirt yet?

Hey there y'all --

I'll be there on Sep. 8, which I hear is the day of the judging. I may or may not also be there an additional day, depending on which days I end up being in Knoxville.

I'll be the tall, wide woman with straight brown hair, most likely wearing tie-dye.

I'll be there! We went by Lebanon just to see what was there and I loved the black and blue cochins! There was a lovely buff orp as well. And a few nice JGs.

I'm hoping to meet some local cochin people at the Knox show.

There will be some birds for sale there for sure. Not all will be, though. Some people show them and take them home. I remember last year there were several cages with sale birds. Either lone roosters or pairs of birds. No telling what types will be available.

There are usually other birds for sale, pigeons as well as large birds like geese.

Lori.... Is showing something you need a hand with? I'd love the opportunity to learn by helping.

I've never ever shown a chicken and only caught parts of maybe two shows in my entire life.

It's so close I can be there easily at any point.

Chere aka wwd. But the dog is too young to do really well around livestock at the fair so it'll be the crutch.

I've never shown before either, and I can't be there during the actual judging. Gotta be at work that day.

I'm not sure my boys are really old enough to be shown, but IMO they are already quite pretty with good foot feathering.

If you want to walk through this with me, send me a PM and we'll work it out!
