Okay, so now I have to add another one...I had posted this awhile back but it got buried...so here goes
This is my broad breasted turkey that I call BIRD, who has now become a family pet outside....this chicken that we call "speckle" was picking on her and well, Bird had enough! Bird is about 5/6 months old here. By the way, she just started laying eggs last week...

I love the story and the pics.

But I have a concern. Did you put the broken eggs back under her? I would think that they might cause a problem, rotting away. Or did you just give her any eggs? I'm confused.

Yeah, I keep a tally of how many eggs I get, so I put brown ones in there so I could keep a running tab of her "new" eggs. If she goes broody and starts sitting, I'll bring her in to a temp. controlled 45* in the garage.
