Ive got some call duck eggs due the 9th and some more due the 13th (?) I think.

Mine are a mix of those listed in my siggy! I'm hoping for some pure cayugas

My first set is due the 10th, second is due the 17th, and third will be due the 24th (as soon as I set those

We have 15 runners hatching...OH MY - TOMORROW!!!

and 10 silver appleyards 4/13. First time ever for ducks and we are very nervous!

Have any of your runners pipped the shell yet? They should pip at least a day before they are due, but I have been told more like 3 days before. It takes at least 24 hours for them to hatch after they pip, so they usually pip early.

I haven't been over to DBF's since Sunday; will go over tonight and check. I thought they'd be like chickens and pip on the day or a day before. Tomorrow is day 28 so maybe today we'll see something!

That's what I had thought too, so you can imagine my surprise when they pipped 2 days before!! I think my last hatch did wait till day 28 to pip, but I had had temp problems (bator died on day 10). Out of 15 eggs, I hatched 6 babies, and only 4 of those lived.

Mine are due Easter Sunday

but i heard they can hatch before then.

I originally had 9 but at the first candling 2 were infertile and the other 2 were blood rings.
Due to candle again on 29th

I hatched out 12 on Sunday and 2 more this morning

Here they are getting ready to move to the outside brooder...

And hubby giving them some lovin' before they go out
