I'm loving this thread! Still 6 out of 6 on my silkie duck eggs. Anyone know how long silkie ducks take? I'm guessing 26 days, as they are bantams...I'd love to know for sure though. If 26 is right they are due on tuesday.

No, I wouldn't worry. We had 4 pipped yesterday afternoon, 7 pipped by last night, and as of last count today only 4 hatched so far. We have 15 fully developed eggs in there so it's just a waiting game now. Chickens are the same way so don't give up yet!!

Ok, not ducks, but my 7 Buff American Geese eggs all seem to be developing

I got this bargain at the auction - all 7 eggs for 5 bucks - wasn't sure they would do anything.

come on goosies!!!

dude, it is so nerve-wracking the first time!!!

JJ drove me insane for 3 days waiting for that fluffy-butt to get out of that egg!! I was sleep deprived the whole time.

I have 10 duck eggs in the hatcher due to hatch on the 28th. Here's hoping! They all look good, but are pretty full in there and I didn't see anything moving around. I didn't want to keep them out for too long. I've had three people hatch out ducklings from my quad this week and I've yet to have any hatch out here at home myself so everything is crossed for at least some to hatch out!!!

I have two Pekin eggs due to hatch day before Easter incubating with chicken eggs, is anyone misting there duck eggs?

I am! I have 10 silver appleyards due to hatch the day after Easter! I'm incubating them with chicken eggs so I am misting to increase the humidity (and my chances!)
