I used food gel colouring. Worked well except I had a white bantam cochin with a blue butt which was like that for months View attachment 3940930

You could try the lipstick thing, or just stake out the nesting boxes. How old are your hens? Amberlinks and Sapphire Gems both tend to start laying on the early side, while EEs tend to wait longer.

I believe they're all abt 6m! Or 24 Weeks lol.
