I don't really mind. I like taking the train, and the bus is okay. I'd never be able to afford my own car anyway, and my parents aren't going to buy me one anytime soon. If I learned to drive, I'd still have to share the family car which would be a pain.

I don't really mind public transportation either, so long as it isn't the crappy old bus full of meth-heads.

Across the river, in another state [Oregon], there's Portland. They have the buses that I avoid there too that cross the bridges, but downtown they have a really nice light rail route that I normally take while visiting my older sister. :3

Cool cakes. Light rail's okay (do you mean tram? They call trams light rails, you never know what they're talking about here. ) but there's nothing like a few hours on the train.

The buses here are relatively quiet, it being such a city with the shops closing at 5PM. People mainly come here to go to university. Although sometimes you do get a girl yelling into her phone about her relationship problems, which is rather amusing to eavesdrop on.
