Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14]

Yes I am! Putting them in to incubator this evening. It will be a total surprise as to what they are as we got the eggs from friends who have loads of hens and when they collect them they dont keep a check on what was from who. Last time I had no chicks hatch but it was my first time and I have taken advice from people in this forum so hopefully I will be lucky this time! Done as much homework as I can. Good luck to everyone else x

DH just bought me a Brinsea :D

I got the mini advance incubator and it'll be here in 3-5 days! I'm going to switch my eggs over into it because this stupid little giant gave me another 102 temp spike....FOR NO REASON! I didn't mess with it, It was steady at 99 all day yesterday and then I wake up this morning to 102!

Geez, I wish I could catch a break with this stupid expensive eggs.

So I said as much to DH over breakfast and he went and ordered me a brinsea. I'm so excited. I've read some really good reviews on it and I am so excited! Maybe I'll have a better hatch with this one. Everyone said they were getting 90-100% hatch rate with this bator.

Oooh! Surprise chickies! How awesome!

Good Luck with your hatch, I hope you get some babies this time! I would be devastated if I paced and worried over eggs only to get 0 babies at the end :/
 
WRVgirl - yes it was really bad, didn't know it was possible to stare at still eggs for so long, waiting, waiting! Will say my prayers this time. Have put 6 under our broody too, she always does a good job, bless her. I guess u have just set eggs too? What are you expecting?
 
Good Luck waititout! Hope you have a good hatch. I candled last night [day2 and didn't see anything] I'll try again in a couple of days.

Pennyfeather, I've got 7 Orphingtons, 4 Silver laced wyandottes and 2 light brahma [I won't be keeping them if they hatch]
