Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14]

Now thats a dang gone Good set-up!!!
Does ur Mother-n-Law another one layin around??...lol

Ur Eggs Looks Great!....can see sum Good Hatchin in ur Future!!!!!

Thanks! I've gotten so lucky with it. We found the commercial incubator second hand from a guy who used it it hatch emu eggs, it will hold 216 chicken eggs, and we only paid $200 for it (500 plus if bought new) and the best part is my husband said he had always wanted one so we bought it for HIM. (We have had it now for five years, he has never used it , but I use it every year) As far as the projector it was left to use with a bunch of old family photos. I don't know where you could find one... yard sales, or maybe eBay? But if you ever do run across one it would be worth it to pick it up.

Candled mine at day 6-7, which was last night, and I had 11/12 Brahmas looking good, but only 6/12 of the Swedish Flowers look good. Some I couldn't see too clearly, one or two may be clears, and so they all went back in to wait.

I use a super ghetto set-up of a super bright mini lamp from Ikea and my hands in a bathroom:lol:

My Blue Splash and Wheaten Ameraucana eggs arrived and I set them on Monday... I got 20 of them! Still waiting for the White Ameraucana eggs to arrive. I candled them and all the air sacs are intact. I'm going to candle again tonight to see if I can see anything. These eggs are very light and I can see through them really well, unlike my brown eggs in past hatches.

I candled mine last night with a new brighter flashlight, complements of my teenage son.

I can see veins before day 10 on brown eggs

.

I did notice that 2 eggs, the air sac moved around and there was also bubbles. First for me...so does that mean they will not make it?

My brinsea got here today!!!! And it's broken :( the company is mailing me a new one that should arrive on Monday.

The seller I bought the English orps from mailed 7 new eggs for me today as well, they should be here Saturday....so I'll set em in the new incubator Monday (fingers crossed the timeline works out!)

I'm going to candle again tonight. I didn't see much yesterday morning do hopefully I get a better idea of what's going on tonight.

My goodness you are in a run of bad luck. You are about due for something to go right, so I think your time line should work out. I am wishing you the best of luck!!!!!

I'm sorry

but it is unlikely the ones with floating air bubbles will grow. In my experience anyway.

It is so much fun to have a bright light to candle brown eggs isn't it?

I have a Brinsea high intensity candler and I can even see into Marans eggs! Too bad they stopped making that model because they are great!

That is terrible! You sure are having a hard time of it! Great that you are getting your EO eggs! I will send good thoughts your way that the replacement incubator gets to you quickly!
