Grrrrr...the eggs are so dark inside that I can't see in them anymore.

I dont candle very well but when i get to day18 and have 3 that are all dark...they are usually the ones that will hatch.!,

well, I think my genesis is working great....So far I think I will have chicks hatch. I had my humidity drop to 30 a few times. But I was drying the bator out before I added more water. All the eggs that started are still growing. Usually I am down to 1 or 2 and then they don't hatch. This time I have 11.

Well at least the genesis keeps yout temps steady and that is most important i think since ppl have 30 humidity and 50 humidity so how much does it matter early? Well at the end its really important


Whoever it was?? had their heat go off...6 hours maybe?
I read the newest Brinsea has a cool down setting now b/c they are beginning to think that the eggs should have a setting like the mom would and thee say she get off for a long while over 6 hours sometimes I thought they said up to12 even So you should be fine.

Somehow lost this thread and just found it again..
...I have eggs that will lock next WEd. I have only 12 in and found the humidity stays way better if there are more than this .like 25.I have it dropping often and have the plug in too Hope it didnt harm them going to 22 once!!.GUHG

These should be some nice Light orps show quality if i get them to hatch. They are for someone else but i was hoping to get one for me too..HAHA I random candled a few days ago and found 3 or 4 looked good.Hoping for 5.Maybe there are that many good in there didnt do them all.
So how is the Genesis working?ChickenPR? Didnt you just get one?

well the crazy egg dreams have started again. I had a dream my silkie eggs hatched and they were little yellow ducks! and my cochin eggs were baby alligators! every time Im due to have eggs hatch I start having the weird dreams. last time it was legos in the eggs.
