thanks for the welcome. the speckled sussex has a story behind it (i posted it on the site about delivered at the wrong route). the mail delivered them 20 miles down the road (4 eggs busted, the rest drenched.... and the P.O. defends their delivery system). anyway, i'm hoping i get some to hatch. been having hatching problems (maybe because of the summer / fall weather.
i'd REALLY like to have some mille fleur duccle eggs to hatch. i think those are so pretty. i've got silver sebrights, sussex (silver and speckled) and some various bantams. i also have Valley quail, gambel quail, and mexican spotted bobwhites.
good vibes to everyone hatching,
don
I'm with you...love the look of the D'Uccle. Specially the gold neck. Unfortunately, I can't find any.
I like Rosecomb too. Those big white cheeks are so cute.
I think yours is a Cochin, just with similar color. And judging from the size of the are in your picture, I think yours is already about twice the size of mine. D'Uccles are tiny, mine are fully feathered and only about 4in tall.See, now I'm curious because I have a chick that's supposed to be a cochin, but she looks just like your babies!!!
What do you think?
