Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14]

My hatch has finished. 14 out of 44. 3 RIR, 3 Jersey giants, 4 EE, 4 Bantam cochins. My jersey giants hatched from eggs the size of serema eggs. These were my pullets first eggs. The one I am holding is a bantam cochin.

Aww how sweet!! I'm so excited for mine to hatch! Its day 16!!

thanks for the welcome. the speckled sussex has a story behind it (i posted it on the site about delivered at the wrong route). the mail delivered them 20 miles down the road (4 eggs busted, the rest drenched.... and the P.O. defends their delivery system). anyway, i'm hoping i get some to hatch. been having hatching problems (maybe because of the summer / fall weather.

i'd REALLY like to have some mille fleur duccle eggs to hatch. i think those are so pretty. i've got silver sebrights, sussex (silver and speckled) and some various bantams. i also have Valley quail, gambel quail, and mexican spotted bobwhites.

I'm with you...love the look of the D'Uccle. Specially the gold neck. Unfortunately, I can't find any.

I like Rosecomb too. Those big white cheeks are so cute.

i have one that looks like her too. But mine is a Wheaten Marans... and is a huge baby.

ok I dont know what Im looking for exactly but is this an internal pip? the dark spot on the air sac? only one egg has it and the baby is moving like crazy in it.

Day 18...lockdown. Just finished the final candling and are steady with our 9/13 Silkie/SG eggs. All have great movement and temp/humidity have been stable. I wish I weren't such a nervous wreck! Wish me luck!

I think yours is a Cochin, just with similar color. And judging from the size of the are in your picture, I think yours is already about twice the size of mine. D'Uccles are tiny, mine are fully feathered and only about 4in tall.
