thanks for the welcome. the speckled sussex has a story behind it (i posted it on the site about delivered at the wrong route). the mail delivered them 20 miles down the road (4 eggs busted, the rest drenched.... and the P.O. defends their delivery system). anyway, i'm hoping i get some to hatch. been having hatching problems (maybe because of the summer / fall weather.
i'd REALLY like to have some mille fleur duccle eggs to hatch. i think those are so pretty. i've got silver sebrights, sussex (silver and speckled) and some various bantams. i also have Valley quail, gambel quail, and mexican spotted bobwhites.
good vibes to everyone hatching,
don
I have read alot of threads where people had silkie eggs hatch a few days early is this a normal thing?
good call.Could it have started to develop before you set it? I am pretty sure that is what happened with 2 of mine from the last hatch. They pipped and hatched on Day 16 and 17. The temperature's outside here in Florida have been in the 90's and the humidity has been up there too.
that tends to happen.Lol! At least everyone else that is dreaming is getting some sleep. I find myself laying in bed at night thinking about what I would get if I crossed this rooster with that hen, ect. Between that, my 10 month old and my 2 year old, I don't get any sleep any more.
