...My first 2 hatches i got nothing and wa sososo dissapointed.BUt when i got my first chick I didint even care a lot if i got more as long as i had ONE anyway!!BEST OF LUCK to you!!

Sorry my typing and errors are appauling i know. Im not a drunk...just cant type(dont drink) and my fingers wont go where i want and my eyes dont see as well as they should i guess GLASSES OLD ....miss a lot of mistakes Embarrassing!.

Too funny! I've done the same exact thing several times this week!
WRVgirl: Yes, the Imported English Orps are quite expensive. I paid $50 for my first dozen (without shipping) and $100 for the second breeder's 30 eggs. I hope to diversify the genetics some by crossing the 2 lines.

My one BBS is "part" English but his legs are as long as a storks!! He was an only child..Wanted to buy them but figure i better get better hatch rates than i have before i spent that.
Then found a nice lady in my state who will sell me some whenever i want. WHAT luck! Shes about 4 hours away one way though so wont be soon but at least no shipping so maybe better hatch rate. Adore that fat little body look... MUCH GOOD LUCK to you both!

Monitor... I might even go as far as using a hair blow dryer (ON THE COLD SETTING) to help dry things a bit before putting on the neosporin...
I actually did that once for a chick and it worked like a charm.

I am on day 20. I was just spoiled on my last few hatch, cause they hatched early.

I'm Day 21. One of the Eng Orp eggs is rocking now, so hopefully she'll pip soon! The LB is soooo noisy! Just chirping away at the top of it's lungs. I think it's lonely but I don't have any mirror or anything for it to look at

I came home from work to find a baby lemon pekin had hatched and is chirping away. I am so thrilled, I almost cried with the sheer wonder of it. At least 2 more are pipping, 1 lemon pekin and 1 polish but as I can't see much through the little window there could be more. Totally amazing! My first chickie ever!

Well, I'm thinking mine are done. And nothing. So bummed. Cost me a lot of money and effort, not to mention the babies tht died I float tested this morning, and they all had developed, but no motion was observed.

been there done that and i am sorry. I did it twice. I am on my third hatch now and i have only been able to hatch out 1 chick the second time around. Today is lock down for me and so far i have 18 alive and well going into lock down so i think third time's a charm don't give up just try with cheaper eggs till you find what works for you.
