I'm officially in lockdown too. Now this is going to kill me not to open it anymore! I saw a couple internal pips so hopefully not much longer!

What does an internal pip look like? I'm going to candle and then make sure that the incubators turn function is turned off...
All of my eggs are pretty much solid black, how do I look for pips?
Not really. That's why you lock down on day 18, this way the chick has time to get into position for hatching. I wouldn't worry about it too much, I've hatched all of mine flat after lock down.Ok i have a question when you put the eggs into lock down and take them out of the turner and lay them flat is there any chance of the chick not being in the right direction and pipping on some other side of the egg? Or should i put them in a carton with air cell up to hatch?
I wondered the same thing yesterday but as soon as I saw it I knew what it was. Basically the air cell will have a dark spot on it and if you look close enough you can see a little beak poking in and out. One if mine that international pipped is rocking now!
oh my gawwwwwwwwsh. I gota pip..after all these duds from the summer heat... i gotta pip!!! wooooooooohooooooooo
